Characters in RBO, like in many RPGs, level up by acquiring experience points. Higher leveled characters gain more stat points and skill points, as well as bonus stat points. The level cap is 30 (increased from 20 after installing expansion Expansion Volume 2).

Status points[]
Everytime you level up, you get status points that you can use increase you status. The status it self can increase many aspect in game plays. Some special moves also required some stat point, see each classes for more description.
